Common Bonds is an umbrella for progressive groups, which encourages communication and cooperation among them.  The peaceful listserv and the weekly emailed Peace/Justice Feature operate under its aegis.

Council Investigative Election Committee - PUBLIC HEARINGS

The Indianapolis City County Council Investigative Election Committee is holding a series of public hearings in June and July.  The following is a list of some of the things the committee will be considering:  
  • How can elections be improved?
  • Is your polling place at the best location?
  • How can we increase voter turnout?
  • How can we recruit more volunteers for Election Day?
  • Should government workers have to work on Election Day?
  • What is the role of the political parties on Election Day?

Sponsored by the Coalition for Justice for Immigrants, the march will go from St. Mary's to Monument Circle, where there will be a brief rally. Wear white. Carry US flags and positive signs. Support comprehensive immigration reform.
