Center for Inquiry TeensSubmitted by Jane Smith on Mon, 10/23/2006 - 2:32pm.
Oct 26 2006 - 7:00pm Oct 26 2006 - 9:00pm Etc/GMT-4 Center for Inquiry Teen will meet on Thursday October 26 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Au Bon Pain, 901 Indiana Ave. for discussion of current political and social topics of interest to the group. Email Caroline at CFI-Teen-owner@yahoogroups.com for details. CFI Teen is a group of high school age teens interested in peace and social justice issues. We are politically and socially liberal. We are atheist or theist, including non-mainstream religions. We utilize science and reason in forming our worldview. We meet to socialize with other like-minded teens, to participate in discussions about current issues, and to get involved in activism projects as desired by the group. Our meetings are very casual and a lot of fun. Future meeting times and locations will be determined by the members and are planned to be as convenient as possible for all regular participants. This group is for high-school age teens, grades 9-12 (ages 14+ before July 1). We manage our own group without adults, but all meetings are held in locations where parents who choose to hang around will find a comfortable place to sit nearby, but separately, to do their own thing.
